St. Leo’s Youth Faith Formation Program

St. Leo’s Youth Faith Formation program is designed to guide youth, from kindergarten to high school, to understanding, reflection, discussion, and growth in their faith. Youth and their families gain knowledge of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church, as well as receive preparation as candidates for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation. St. Leos offers a 30 hour Faith Formation Program, from September through May that includes instruction, works of service and charity, and family activities designed for youth and families to grow in Christian life.

Sacramental preparation prepares our children to complete the sacraments of initiation beyond Baptism, which prepare youth for the rest of their lives as Christians. The sacrament Confirmation is offered for high school students to enrich them with the strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith by word and action as true witnesses of Christ.

Are you interested in helping our children grow in their faith? We could use you! If you would like to participate in this ministry please call Rev. Dennis Walker at (315) 696-5092. A VIRTUS Certification is required to teach or volunteer with the children, but we can direct you in obtaining this certification.
